About George and Schlub Brass Works:
George Schlub got his start at a young age learning the art of instrument repair and building from his father, who owned the famous Loft Violin Shop of Columbus, Ohio. George also trained for years in Europe studying with Master Craftsmen Bernard Zirnbauer, Jurgen Voigt, and many more. After moving to southeast Asia and building up Schlub Brass Works over 10 years, George moved back to Ohio in 2018, settling in Miamisburg and partnering with brass musician Josh Omaits to create Omaits Music. No job is too challenging for George, and the quality of his instruments is up there with the absolute best the world has to offer!
All Schlub Brass Works instruments are designed and built from the ground up using top quality raw materials. Unlike other “custom” makers, Schlub Brass Works instruments are designed and made around the individual. The list reflects popular configurations, but each instrument is unique depending on the needs of the musician. George describes his instruments as “…made the way a tailor crafts a perfectly measured suit, not just bought off the rack and altered to fit.”
